About the Audiologist

Dr. Talley Dabakarov, AuD, is a New York State Licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. In 2010, she founded and established her private practice, Sounds Good Audiology Services PLLC to provide hearing health care to both children and adults in a family-friendly neighborhood environment. In May 2007, she received her Master's degree from the University of Hofstra, during which she completed various audiology clinical experiences in different settings, such as at Nassau University Medical Center, Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf and St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. Upon graduating, Dr. Dabakarov took a clinical audiologist role at The Speech and Hearing Clinic at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. While treating patients of all ages in a hospital setting, Dr. Dabakarov earned her Doctorate degree in Audiology from the University of Florida in 2011, while supervising rotating graduate audiology students.
 
Dr. Dabakarov's clinical specialties include audiological evaluations for all age groups, including middle ear analysis, otoacoustic emmissions, balance and vestibular testing, hearing aid evaluations, and individualized aural rehabilitation treatment plans for patients fit with hearing aids, to name a few. Dr. Dabakarov has a warm and caring approach with each patient; it is evident with the passion and dedication she shows toward each and every one of her patients who entrust her with their hearing health needs. She keeps up with all of the new developments and research in the industry, including top of the line digital hearing aids. Dr. Dabakarov is an active member in the field of audiology and regularly attends continuing education seminars and conferences. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and holds her Audiology Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
