Dr. Talley Dabakarov, AuD, is a New York State Licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. In 2010, she founded and established her private practice, Sounds Good Audiology Services PLLC to provide hearing health care to both children and adults in a family-friendly neighborhood environment. Dr. Dabakarov has a warm and caring approach with each patient; it is evident with the passion and dedication she shows toward each and every one of her patients who entrust her with their hearing health needs.

Hearing Loss and Dementia
Numerous studies that establish a correlation between untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline, particularly when it comes to dementia and Alzheimer’s—the incidents of which increase as people age. Hearing loss affects our abilities to communicate and could lead to social withdrawal, which is a major risk factor for developing dementia.
